"why C#.net can be pronounced as "csharp.net" not "c hash.net""...?
The # sign is similar to the sign used in music. In music this is pronounced as "sharp". The phrase C# is possibly also a play on words - i.e. C sharp means it is C, and sharp has the positive connotation of being incisive or "not blunt".
Reply:Well buddy, heres your answer

In a piano, there will be white keys, and black keys, right!

The White Keys are named as A, B, C, D, E, F, G

And, when a black key is on the right of D, its called D-Sharp or D#, and if a black key is on the left of D, its called D-Flat

So, in musical sense, # =%26gt; Sharp

And remember, C# means, the right side of C =%26gt; the thing which is AFTER C....

That means C# is a language more advanced than C.... got it!

(C++ is already chosen, thatsy C# is given as a name.)
Reply:ppl who made C# choose this symbol and name thats y v call it c-sharp not c-hash.net.

is it ok for u?
